New York / New Jersey
Hurricane Sandy
TMG performed damage assessments for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey immediately after Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Scope included assessments for the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) in connection with train service. Assessments were performed for Shipping Ports, tunnels & bridges, rail, and all airports in affected areas in New York and New Jersey. TMG coordinated and interfaced with the insuring entities, FEMA and the FTA to establish proper protocols to make certain that consistent and uniform procedures were established and maintained for processing official claim submissions.
Successfully coordinated with the client and the FTA to develop a Quarterly Report format and
methodology. Ongoing work included the consolidation, review and preparation of vendor contracts, invoices and payment records for work complete to draw down on grants; tracking financial recovery funds from request to disbursement; and ensuring compliance with Federal requirements in the procurement and administration of vendor contracts for goods and services.
