Closeout Support
TMG and TMG Subject Matter Experts have led – and continue to lead – closeout of FEMA Disaster Recovery Grants. Closeout of a FEMA grant is a required phase of the US Public Assistance (PA) program. Closeout finalizes the grant, obligates the final amount of the grant and assures that the grant is completed. Funds received - or to be received - are validated and secured.
TMG Closeout Staff is composed of CPAs, forensic accountants, disaster recovery accounting experts, force account labor specialists, project management specialists and documentation system experts. TMG develops a closeout format – based on the Subgrantees internal accounting system - for each engagement. The customized format ensures complete and final reconciliation between the PW and Subgrantees’ accounting system. Ensure all mitigation approved in the scope of work is completed, noting any discrepancies, and making needed adjustments using the appropriate cost line items.

TMG controls all DHSES and FEMA Requests for Information (RFIs) on submitted closeout PWs. TMG will liaison between the client and Closeout Team to effect resolution of all open items between DHSES, FEMA and the client to result in final obligation of each PW.
